CCTV FOLLIES 10.20 ISRAELI AGGRESSION AND US HEGEMONY
-US doesn't care about people or peace -US provokes turmoil to maintain hegemony -Israel can do nothing right -Palestine can do nothing wrong -Hamas gets a free pass -Xi Jinping celebrates himself!!!
Israel bombs both Hamas targets and a Palestinian refugee camp
The news as CCTV shows it today is mostly about Israel bombing Palestine. The Hamas-led incursion of October 7 and the ghastly massacres that followed are still taboo topics on state TV which is not just editorially squeamish but also prone to whitewash bad news from its allies and armed entities it supports.
Xinwen Lianbo news has been unwaveringly hard on Israel and highly supportive of Palestine which reflects CCP thinking. China’s one-sided Machiavellian party line is easier for viewers to accept when the gut-wrenching death and destruction waged by Hama militants, indirect clients of Beijing, is not shown.
The evening news has been gently bending its editorial line in a way that fires up Arab pretensions of sympathy for Palestine (NIMBY) and Arab prejudices about the US. It also waves an olive branch over Gaza, graciously forgiving and forgetting the horrible Hamas attacks and massacres by not covering them in the first place.
Simply put, CCTV portrays Israel as an unprovoked aggressor with keen US backing.
The chyron reads:
“Israel bombs both Hamas targets and Palestinian refugee camp”
“Armed Palestine units continue to launch rockets at Israel”
CCTV airs a statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health blaming Israel for a bombing in the West Bank in which many children were victims.
Severe West Bank damage and pretty rocket light over Israel in the montage below.
Netanyahu and his generals inspect the troops at the border getting ready to invade.
Mirroring CCTV’s editorially pre-determined Ukraine coverage, shots of Israeli weaponry and battlefield belligerence are followed immediately by pictures of the White House or the Pentagon in a symbolic juxtaposition that can’t be missed.
“The US is sending more money because they provoke turmoil to maintain their hegemony.”
The evils of US/Israeli collusion are illustrated with scenes from Gaza, where bomb victims are rescued, water is in short supply and refugee tents are being set up.
CCTV scores an interview with Mai al-Kaila, the head of the Palestine Ministry of Health in Ramallah who expresses extreme disappointment with the US vetoes of UN resolutions in favor of opening humanitarian corridors and a bombing halt.
The Ahli Hospital bomb wreckage is used to illustrate the ugly intransigence of the US (and by extension Israel, despite substantial documentary evidence that actually points to Hamas for the blast.)
A meeting about Palestine-Israel will be held in Egypt.
Meanwhile, US bases in Iraq and Syria have come under attack.
Today’s foreign news segment was devoted almost entirely to the Palestine-Israel conflict with the former portrayed as faultless and the latter portrayed as the guilty party, as was the case in yesterday’s news cycle. Yesterday’s Gaza news included here, since any non-Xi news got short shrift in the midst of a grandiose televised Belt and Road Gala which ran overtime.

Trying to be fair and balanced in its own feeble way, CCTV shows points of light over Israel that represent Hamas rockets and Israeli missile defense systems clashing in a picturesque sky.
