How to make a pandemic infection of one billion disappear on the nightly news:

-Flood the zone with other stories, preferably happy stories tinted red

-Don’t call it a pandemic

-Change the name of Covid in Chinese

-Don’t mention the death toll

-Show how things are much better if not completely back to normal

-Deploy dubious statistics to bury revealing statistics

-Show empty clinics

-Show doctors with lots of free time making rural house calls

-Claim that numbers are way, way down.
