A new, better Mao -A more amazing Xi -Politburo loyalty test -Shanghai crackdown! -Xi's arrival in Hanoi deemed new chapter in joint humanity -Vietnam hails Xi -Nefarious US biolabs despoil Ukraine
Ever wonder what it would have been like if China had television during the Mao years? Wonder no more. Xi has you covered.
Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered an important speech at the annual Central Economic Work Conference held in Beijing. Xi reviewed the country's economic work in 2023, analyzed the current economic situation and arranged next year's economic work.
Loyalty at the highest levels of the party is demonstrated by strength of applause, length of applause and copious note-taking when the chairman speaks.
To further revive the economy, China still has to overcome some difficulties and challenges, including lack of effective demand, overcapacity in some sectors, lackluster social expectations, certain risks and hidden problems, bottlenecks in the domestic circulation, as well as rising complexity, severity and uncertainty of the external environment, the meeting said.
By the time it’s time for China’s number two, Premier Li Qiang, to speak, Xi Jinping has left the room.
Vietnam has a visitor
And the reception couldn’t be more red.
The undisputed and most magnificent leader from the north…
(the camera cuts away so that Xi can hobble down the stairs holding onto the railing)
Vietnamese government leaders line up and wave like docile school children.
Vietnamese masses from all walks of life welcome Xi to Hanoi
Selected Vietnamese sing praise of Xi and praise of China in their native language, at least according to CCTV’s subtitles. Only the last gentleman speaks in English.
Back to China…
China’s economy is doing good, and while good could be better, the important thing is to have faith in the leadership of Xi and the CCP. These images demonstrate that.
But don’t take CCTV’s word for it; CCP party members are alike in agreeing wholeheartedly with Xi’s magnificent vision.
And now some news from the place formerly known as Tibet….
The puppet Panchen Lama speaks to his Xizangian flock under a portrait of the real deal, the real Dalai, the real spiritual leader of Xizang, Xi Jinping.
The Xizang monks learn how to load the Xizangian religion with CCP’s political line by studying Chinese revolutionary history.
Colorful costumes? Okay.
Dalai Lama? Not okay.
Crackdown in Shanghai: Errant party members are ferreted out, publicly shamed, expelled from party, fired from their jobs and face serious punishment.
There’s a great new drama about Mao as a revolutionary youth. It’s Xi-inspirational.
Over to a truncated foreign news segment. The evening news program ran way overtime because there was over 20 minutes of puff stuff about Xi.
In short, Israel blasts away at Palestine.
Hamas resistance fights back.
Russia’s special military operation is going nicely, but there’s a snag, and it’s so unfair.
How can Moscow defend itself and fight an honest border skirmish when the US is planting nefarious biolabs all across the contested territory of Ukraine? And Ukraine prepares to inflict a chemical/biological attack on mother Russia?
It’s so unfair!
The Russian investigative “smoking gun” biolab chart above gets re-upped about once a month on CCTV (Chinese Conspiratorial Television.)
Finally, Ukraine is causing major disunion in Europe and truck traffic is at a standstill
Zai jian!
