CCTV FOLLIES 1.7 JAPAN'S SORROW ENDURES!
Japan quake is the top foreign story for six out of seven days this week with daily shots of collapsed homes, crushed cars, toppled lines, bleak apocalyptic streets and complaints about abject neglect
CCTV ace reporter Liu Zhuoye is on the scene in Ishikawa recording scenes of Japan’s sorrow. With a hardhat to protect him from falling buildings and an umbrella to keep off the rain, he scours the desolate streets only to discover Japanese don’t get helped by their government as the people do in China.
This unidentified but slightly disgruntled Japanese resident fits the bill. He is upset. And unlike Chinese citizens in China, he can criticize his government’s handling of the quake with complete political impunity.
A win-win for CCTV’S schadenfreude-laden Japan news.
