Sudan is a major story -Chinese bureaucrats strut their stuff in live-action meetings -Chinese culture is rich, wonderful and a world treasure, but don't take China's word for it, the UN says so, too.

China continues to worry about Sudan, and in the process actually commits some journalism along the way, or at least propaganda with journalistic characteristics. It’s got some good cameramen and stringers on the ground, and goes into considerable detail about a story that must seem impossibly remote to most Chinese viewers.

Domestic news is not very newsy, except to note that meetings are taken very seriously by the party as a means of inculcation and performative loyalty.
