CCTV FOLLIES 3.21 CHILLIN' IN MAO'S COLD SHADOW
Xi Jinping does Hunan, hoping some of the Mao magic will rub off -He lectures students, instructs chemists, chats about culture to carefully screened common people and teaches discipline to soldiers.
During an inspection tour of Hunan province from Monday to Thursday, Xi, who is general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, also emphasized the need to take a problem-solving approach to deepen comprehensive reforms in order to address key issues hindering high-quality development.
Xi first inspected Hunan First Normal University in Changsha City, where he visited an exhibition featuring Mao Zedong in his youth. Xi stressed the role of schools in fostering virtue among students and guiding them to serve the country.

Xi looked at calligraphy (seek truth from facts) and an old classroom and an old well and old Mao memorabilia and chatted with students and faculty members.

Xi inspected a Chinese-German battery materials joint venture. He said China will keep opening its door wider to the world and welcome more foreign companies to invest and develop in China. He said foreigners are welcome, too.

Xi visited a cultural street in the city of Changde, where he pointed out that the country's diverse traditional cultures with local characteristics constitute a splendid Chinese civilization.

Xi asked Hunan to take on the responsibility of safeguarding national food security and accelerate breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields such as the seed industry and agricultural machinery. He also called on the province to promote deep integration of culture and tourism, and strengthen Party building.
Xi also met with military officers from troops stationed in Changsha
(The crisp military show of discipline and obedience got a single line in the English language print press but extensive coverage on Chinese TV. Conversely, the print press had more on Xi’s site visits in Hunan in the past two days, while CCTV only covered it today. -ed.)

When it comes to the vox populi, no matter how random the polling they all agree.
Xi is the bomb and his policies are the best.
