CCTV is doing its utmost to realize the glorious task of propagating Xi Jinping Thought across the land in the New Era. This look inside CCTV editing rooms dedicated to telling China’s story well by producing content in line with party directives reveals the use of Fujinon box lenses.
note: Beautiful images add to the impact of propaganda, and if it takes using Japanese cameras to achieve such images, so be it. Fujinon 8K cameras made by Fuji Film boast excellent color, image stabilization and the world’s highest zoom magnification.
The top political story of the day was Xi’s warm, chummy and smile-infused meeting with Russian Premier Mikhail Mishustin. In protocol terms, the Mishustin visit was hosted by China’s premier Li Qiang, with the full flush of a Great Hall reception and 21-gun salute, but the singular honor of being personally greeted by Chairman Xi plays trumps all that.

Mishustin honors dead soldiers by presenting a garish wreath at the Monument to the People’s Heroes in the middle of Tiananmen Square. Read what you want into it.
Wang Huning tours Xinjiang where happiness is at off-the-chart levels thanks to Xi Jinping’s solicitous concern and the good work of the Communist Party. No sign of human rights abuses whatsoever, in contrast, Xi’s main ideology man spotted several incidents of spontaneous song and dance. He even had a lavish meal in a typical Uyghur home but it’s not clear if he ate anything. All in all he had a splendid visit.
How gratifying it must have been for Xi whisperer Wang Huning to see this brilliant exhibit about how Chairman Xi “really cares” about Xinjiang University.
Wang Huning did not have time to eat everything on his plate, but he found time to visit the paramilitary Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps known affectionately as “bingtuan” where he found productive, happy, well-fed workers producing Xinjiang cotton products.
