Kramatorsk is singled out on this weird, sovereignty-insulting CCTV map which erases all of Ukraine’s borders, as if to suggest that the border is not real or at least it is up for grabs because it flows naturally into Russia. Try that with a China map.

CCTV’s news from Kramatorsk is a deflection, a propaganda feint. The word Kramatorsk is in the world news, but this is not about the horrid Russian missile strike on the Kramatorsk pizza restaurant that killed 11 diners. No mention of that. Rather CCTV hails Russia’s “success” in blasting “a Ukrainian motor infantry group.”
