REPORT: Peng Lifa's two Twitter accounts
Posts made on Twitter by the now-disappeared Peng Lifa have been deleted.
First the man is taken into custody, then his posts become ghosts, too.
Did Twitter fall under “foreign” pressure to delete the tweets of the hero of Sitong Bridge?
Did Peng Lifa’s “custodians” crack his passwords or force him to give them access to his accounts? Why did a hidden hand delete most, but not all, of his tweets?
Did Twitter lock his account or do anything to protect the information posted by a member of the Twitter community now locked in detention?
Is Twitter directly contributing to the censorship of posts of a man jailed for a bold but peaceful act of free expression?
Peng Lifa's accounts have been all but emptied out. His prior posts ranged from cat pix to political abuses.
Twitter can and should immediately restore Peng Lifa's two known accounts:
